Vintage Sterling & Plated Silver Baby Rattles “Goosey Gander” – 3pc
This is a very nice trio of silver baby rattles. There are some surface scratches, minor denting,
some tarnishing, but all are in fine vintage shape. They both still “rattle” and the smaller bell
sounds as well.
There are two dumbell-shaped rattles, 2.75” and 4” in length – both are unmarked. The larger
one appears to be silverplated and the smaller one may be sterling. Total weight of the three
pieces is approx. 100g, or 3.8 oz.
The bell is 1” tall, and has an image in relief of a goose with the inscription “Goosey Gander” on
the front. The back side has no design or markings. The piece is stamped ‘Sterling’ on the
bottom.
All 3 rattles are over 100 years old and are hand me downs.
